Digital Karma Awareness is a public-interest initiative that helps everyday users understand what really happens when they click “Allow”, “Accept”, or “Continue” on apps, websites, and third-party services. The mission is to turn blind consent into informed, conscious choice so that people can protect their data, their time, and their mental wellbeing.

Digital Karma Awareness एक सार्वजनिक-हित पहल है जो आम उपयोगकर्ताओं को यह समझने में मदद करती है कि जब वे किसी ऐप, वेबसाइट या थर्ड-पार्टी सेवा पर “Allow”, “Accept” या “Continue” पर क्लिक करते हैं तो वास्तव में क्या होता है। हमारा मिशन अंधी सहमति को जागरूक और समझदार निर्णय में बदलना है, ताकि लोग अपने डेटा, अपने समय और अपने मानसिक स्वास्थ्य की रक्षा कर सकें।

Shashi Bhushan Tiwari started Digital Karma Awareness after observing how easily people grant permissions to unknown apps, click on random notifications, and share their personal data without reading anything. His vision is to create a simple, bilingual space where even a first-time smartphone user or a non-technical elder can understand digital risks and make safer choices.

Shashi Bhushan Tiwari ने Digital Karma Awareness की शुरुआत तब की जब उन्होंने देखा कि लोग कितनी आसानी से अनजान ऐप्स को permission दे देते हैं, बिना पढ़े नोटिफ़िकेशन पर क्लिक कर देते हैं और अपनी निजी जानकारी साझा कर देते हैं। उनका विज़न एक ऐसा सरल, द्विभाषी प्लेटफ़ॉर्म बनाना है जहाँ पहला स्मार्टफोन उपयोगकर्ता हो या कोई गैर-तकनीकी बुजुर्ग – हर कोई डिजिटल जोखिमों को समझ सके और सुरक्षित निर्णय ले सके।

3.2 Data, tracking & monetization / डेटा, ट्रैकिंग और कमाई

- We do not ask for sensitive permissions like location, camera, microphone, or contacts.
- We do not run invasive behavioural tracking or dark patterns.
